Not a New Issue I love bethel music and hillsong as well and im 48 years old and a music producer and songwriter, and they reach a lot of our youth which is great!!! You should waste your time and energy on something else besides what kind of Christian music people should sing… why dont you try and write a song about God and see how it comes out.seriously…. There is no doubt about it that churches like Bethel, Hillsong and Elevation church are somewhat dangerously heretic and controversial in some of their teachings, music and beliefs... I am totally in agreement that biblical churches should not be aligning with convoluted worship. This is not exclusive to these massive, global Movements that are leaking lies and deception into modern day Christianity aforementioned in this article, but also solo musicians and/or duos that are under the authority of heretical teachers and false gospel organizations like NAR, IHOP, etc who Not secondary theological issues, but groups that break essential theological issues. You don’t have to play a song you don’t want to nor does a church, they make that decision every week (to exclude certain songs). But the church may do well to “steal” an idea from our Baptist friends. Just like a most Baptists avoids drinking altogether for the purpose of avoiding even the appearance of evil, a church may consider avoiding singing songs by heretical groups under the same guiding principle.
