There's nothing like GTA: Online, for better and for worse
The promise of Grand Theft Auto: Online is an intoxicating one. GTAV’s world remains one of, if not the most remarkable in gaming history, and the idea that you and a group of friends can team up and wreak havoc upon that world seems too good to be true. To some extent, it is too good to be true. GTAO suffers from a myriad of technical issues and limitations, including ridiculous loading times, crashes, game-breaking glitches, and terrible anti-cheat. It’s like a complicated, unwieldy machine with hundreds of unseen components. If it fails, your only two options are to start from scratch, or give up. But when it all comes together, when you finally find your friends after five minutes of loading screens and ten minutes of yelling at each other on Discord to “go here”, the experience is unparalleled. The first few hours we spent roaming the world were violent co-op magic, like a depraved, extravagant Scorcese montage with a body count that would turn eyes at the ICJ. We did missions, did drugs, blew things up, got haircuts, bought clothes, bought cars, stole cars, shot police, shot pedestrians, and of course, shot each other. Being homebound due to Covid, our at-first daily, then weekly GTA sessions kept us connected, the first time a game had done so since our short-lived Minecraft phase in March of last year. But yesterday, as we failed the same section of the Diamond Casino Heist for about the twentieth time, one of my friends broke the silence. “Is anyone having fun?” Several months ago, I posted a rant on this subreddit about the singleplayer, bemoaning its weak story, poor gunplay, unnoticeable progression, and surprisingly empty open-world. I stand by what I wrote, perhaps even more so now that I see how much more compelling GTAV could have been if it had included online’s heists, vehicles, and properties as DLC. That said, online is not without fault. While there’s a massive catalogue of things to buy, the grinding necessary to purchase these things is awful, making even Cookie Clicker feel productive. GamesRadar says the Heists, which themselves require expensive properties and a substantial initial investment to initiate, net you about 400k an hour, which isn’t all that much considering how much vehicles and properties cost. We realized early on that the disparity between GTAO’s prices and its payouts was a manufactured pain point, the remedy being the game’s overpriced Shark Cards. Rather than dig out our wallets, we abided by GTA’s longstanding moral tradition and hacked ourselves enough money to buy every car, every property, and every weapon in the game. But even without the grind to worry about, GTAO had no qualms with wasting our time. The loading screens are the most obvious example of this, but these are, I believe, unavoidable given the scope of what you’re loading into. Where it’s less forgivable is in the tedious minutiae and the absence of systems that should be present. The more we played, the more frustrated I became. Why can I only fast travel to my properties as a CEO? Why can’t I claim all destroyed vehicles at once? Why can’t I skip these stupidly long cutscenes? Why do I have to wait to spawn in a vehicle? In a way, it makes the same mistake as its singleplayer counterpart. Though it has incredible setpieces that you won’t find in any other game, the vast majority of your time is spent preparing for them. I don’t believe games should have infinite longevity, so I don’t fault GTAO for losing its sheen after eighty-some hours. Overall, I had a good time. Tearing through hordes of cops in a pink Insurgent. The terrific Pacific Standard Heist. Getting picked up by my friend in a disgusting anime car that he claimed wasn’t his. Being repeatedly stalked and kidnapped over the course of several weeks by a hacker named “JOE BIDEN” who’d drive me around the map at light speed and drop boats on my head as I’d try to flee. And above all, having the opportunity to hang out with my friends during a pandemic. These are all experiences I’ll remember. The hours I spent in loading screens, driving from one side of the map to the other for the hundredth time, and listening to Lester talk about skinny dipping? I’ll remember those too, though nowhere near as fondly.
I’ve never really touched too much on actual gameplay mechanics, despite the requests, so I thought I’d make this post outlining some of the gameplay elements outside of missions. Edit: When compiling this list, I changed my mind and just went for general features of the game I don’t think I’ve touched on before. I’ll have more information coming very, very soon. • Dead bodies can be carried into trunks to conceal them. When stopped by the police, they may search your vehicle, and finding a dead body in your trunk will result in an immediate wanted level. Similar to GTA IV’s “Have a Heart”, taming damage to your vehicle may cause the trunk to pop open. If there is a dead body inside, it will be visible causing civilians to call the police or police to notice and cause a wanted level. • Playing as Rose, you can order police responders away from a crime scene you have created, or call them for backup if you find yourself in a firefight. • Rose can arrest or ticket civilians. Arresting a civilian will prompt you to order the civilian into a police car to drive them to the station. At the station, they can be seen in the cells for a period of time and may attempt to bribe or beg Rose for release. Ticketing a civilian will add their ticket value to the police budget. Rose can choose between a selection of ticket values based on the observed offence. • The VCPD has a budget that works somewhat similarly to RDR2’s camp funds feature. It is not necessary to keep on top of the budget, but some features are limited or unavailable otherwise. Solving cases, issuing tickets and convicting criminals will boost the department’s budget. Hiring new officers, calling backup, committing crimes, purchasing supplies and replacing equipment will need to be manually assigned from the budget at Rose’s office. • If you are seen speeding by Police officers, you will receive a one star wanted level. Pulling over will result in a ticket. • Near the end game, Ricardo and Kacey form their own criminal organizations. Ricardo then mainly resides in South America and smuggles drugs back to Vice City. Kacey forms his own criminal empire in Carcer City & Liberty City. The direction of Kacey’s empire is more up to the player. • As a drug lord, Ricardo must hire criminals into his cartel. These ‘employees’ can smuggle drugs for Ricardo or he can choose to do this himself. Should you assign your employees to do this for you, it will eat into your profits and comes with added risk, but you don’t need to spend your own time doing this and can make money passively. If you travel to the right locations, you can see Ricardo’s men smuggling contraband. Ricardo must buy the drugs, cut them down and smuggle them to Vice City. Each stage requires employees to carry out your operations. • There are multiple active serial killers throughout the game that wk kill periodically throughout the story, leaving clues for Rose’s department. In game news outlets will speak on the ongoing cases. • If Rose’s department manages to greatly reduce crime rates, residents of Vice City will be more likely to cooperate. However, if the public loses trust in the police, people will often refuse to cooperate, making Rose’s job much more difficult. • There is an alternate ending where Rose is discovered for her affiliation with Ricardo and Kacey and is subsequently killed in a gunfight. I am unsure how each ending comes about. • News broadcasts (TV and Radio) and newspapers (online and trash around the world) will often have information of your character’s crimes. • Gangs occupy different territories. In Vice City, Rose can arrange sit downs with gang leaders to help keep the peace. The map can physically change in accordance with gang influence, with areas being gentrified or falling into slum • Absent of cheats, players will have far less health than previous titles - little more than NPCs. • Similar to RDR2, players can interact with NPCs around them. • Cash will be far more difficult to obtain in this title. It’s very possible for players to end the main game broke. • Players can play various sports, including; golf, tennis, table tennis and basketball. • Weapons are kept when ammo runs out, but the player can choose to voluntarily throw their weapon away, similar to GTA IV. • Scanning license plates in police vehicles reveals information on the driver, including: name, address, occupation, criminal history and if the suspect has a valid license. • All NPC’s will be assigned a place of residence and occupation, and go about their day accordingly. Following an NPC could see them leave their house in the morning, drive to work, head to a red light district and go back home, for example. Because of this, rush hour will see the city streets flooded with cars, while the roads will be significantly less contested at night and during working hours. • Known gangs include: Aztecas, Vagos, Colombian Cartel, Lobo Cartel, Madrazo Crime Family, Yardies, Broker Kings, Angels of Death MC, Skinheads (predominantly prison gang with some outside chapters), Korean Mob, Vasquez Crime Family, Russian Mafia, Triads, Ballas, The Tong Family, Amir Group, Jewish Mob. • Niko Bellic is not a major character in GTA VI. Other returning characters include: Bricue Kibutz, Poppy Mitchell, Bruce Spade, “Little” Jacob (known only as Jacob Hughes in this title), Lacey Jonas, Roman Bellic, Miranda Cowan, “Gay” Tony Prince, Candy Suxxx (referenced), January Vasquez, Cloe Parker, Yusef Amuir, the Avon Crastenburg Family • Michael Hollick is not returning. • Neither Michael, Franklin, nor Trevor return. • Celebrity life is a huge part of GTA VI. • The world is fully fleshed out, with a far more expansive internet, a plethora of celebrities, interactive social media (Lifeinvader, Bleeter [players can set up their own Bleeter accounts and interact with each other online] and ChiSpy [Video sharing platform taking the world by storm]). • Children do not feature predominantly in the game. • The online element will be a separate title released after GTA VI. •Nudity is prevalent. • Rose is known to like lettuce. • Online will have far more connectivity to the GTA VI story, and the storyline is created with online in mind. Hello Reddit community, I've been asking myself this question for a while being modder too, why doesn't Rockstar do anything effective against menus? I know multi games with cheats, but on gta online there is no equivalent I've never seen so many cheat possibilities on such a popular online game these days, and it's Rockstar .. a behemoth. So yes, why isn't R * doing any good thing to block mod menus one way or another? And do you think that there will always be functional menus until the last day of the online PC? Hello modernwarfare! Hacker here. A few months ago I created a post explaining how to combat cheaters within Call of Duty: Modern warfare and Warzone. It did pretty well and explained how to detect hackers in detail.
To re-introduce myself, I was a prevalent user of mods on Battlefield 4 and GTA Online for around 5 years. I know exactly how hackers work on FPS games and how to counter them effectively. I don't play or mod on Call of Duty. 3 months later, Infinity ward still have a problem with hackers plaguing the game. I'd like to give the developers and you guys a few pointers on how to counter them.
Curent methods of stopping hackers
Since I released my post, Infinity ward have introduced a variety of counter-measure features. These are: Swiper no swiping Seriously? Report in kill cam Report options do absolutely nothing. A report is a +1 to your "I'm a poobag" value in your player statistics. On GTA V, I can quite literally edit this number with a mod menu. This number is used as an indication of cheating, but it isn't what gets you banned. I have 1,375 reports for exploits alone and my account hasn't been banned once. SMS Verification It's a step in the right direction. It's true that this method does slow down repeat hackers, but it relies on the hackers actually getting banned in the first place. Even if they are banned, They only have to purchase a couple £1 sim cards the next time they go to the supermarket to be back up and running.

Detailed analysis of player statistics
My BF4 Hacker statistics as an example of what to look for. Battlefield punkbuster is able to detect when statistics are off and ban players. It can be extremely obvious that a player is hacking.
There are 3 main signs that a player is cheating.
They have an unusually high score per minute on a specific weapon.
Take this clip from jackfrags's YouTube channel. He comes across a guy spamming cluster strikes at his vehicle. While shitty, it's absolutely laughable for Infinity ward to fix, because the hacker's Kill Per Minute statistics with the cluster strike will be screaming "I'M NOT LEGITIMATE" compared to other players.
They have an unusually high headshots per kill.
Aimbot locks onto the head, it is the best place to lock onto as you get the most damage , and it is always the most visible part that can be locked onto. Either when the player is peaking cover, or when you look at them from above. No mod menu maker is going to create a hack that locks onto feet to prevent bans. They will always focus on limiting detection.
Their kill death ratio will not reflect time spent on the game.
Quite simply, a guy who has just made an account getting dubs and high kill games immediately isn't legitimate. IW need to implement a system that restricts new high performance players to a time-out period after each match. There are players out there with 10+ KDs that are very obviously illegitimate. Infinity ward need to track player statistics over their previous games and determine whether they are playing legitimately and take action.
Vote-Kicking is the most effective way for a developer to give the player-base the ability to fight back against hackers.
In Battlefield 4, a prompt would come up in chat asking players to vote. There would be a specific threshold to pass and if it received enough votes, the player would be kicked back to the lobby. In GTA V, Players could communicate in chat and head to the player list to vote their undesirable playmates out of games. Even on my paid menu, I am not immune to the lobby kicking me out. Infinity ward should add a feature on the spectator cam that allows players to vote a suspected hacker out. Edit: It should only appear if the player is suspicious. That's it. Simply present the option if the player in question has very suspicious statistics, and make it so a certain number of spectators have to vote them out of the match in order to be kicked. You may ask "But the hacker has to kill X people before he gets kicked so what's the point". Well think of this like the hacker. You don't want to kill X amount of people, you want to go into the game, kill every player in sight and win the whole thing. So if games suddenly start getting cut short, you're going to HATE it and either limit your hacking, or find a game that isn't so hard to cheat on. Either way, we have won.
How to kill a hacker
It's stupid difficult. This is what they see. Aimbot isn't what kills you. ESP is. Esp is the little name above your head that shows the hacker EXACTLY where you are and everyone else around you. They'll know what buildings are clear, which corners don't require their attention. Literally the exact place you'll be at any point in time. I would much rather have this than any standard aimbot. To kill a hacker, you need them to come to you, and you need to use explosives. Otherwise, run the fuck away as far as you can and let another team deal with them. If you can't carry out either of these, leave the game and cut your losses. Riot shields work amazing, if you have one on hand, be the bait that the hacker is locked onto while your teammates do the damage. This requires a lot of pre-planning and luck however.
Epilogue
Deterrents aren't going to counter 100% of hackers. They will always adapt and find new ways to ruin the game. So long as infinity ward hit back harder and patch any leaks, hacking will die down. The best we can do is make it as difficult as possible for them to have fun and force them onto a less secure game. I hope this information helps you out. It's a shame that hacking is so conspicuous on Modern warfare and Warzone. Hopefully Infinity ward will use their infinite wallet and get a decent team to really ramp up their anti-cheat.

A Comprehensive Guide For Beginners To Playing Games From HDD Using FreeMcBoot & OPL (2021)
INTRO This is my attempt to make a comprehensive reference guide on booting PS2 games via a HDD and OPL for beginners. Although the initial installation guide I used on YouTube was great (https://youtu.be/q8bgmdtKApg), the setting up of individual games with individual modes to run properly yielded few resources online & quickly turned into a project for me. My goal is to make a fully functioning, user friendly, "plug and play" PS2 console filled with several of the best games. I am by no means an expert at this, but I have spent over 15 years dabbling in softmodding & emulation, so I at least have a familiarity with doing stuff like this. The tips that I have to share came from several hours of just trial & error testing. If you can elaborate more on any of the technical aspects or have any other useful tips you want to share, please let me know & I will update this post accordingly. SETTING UP THE HARDWARE & SOFTWARE Note: I used all of the hardware listed in the Blaine Locklair video linked above. He has links to all of the hardware & software in his video description if you'd like technical specs, but it's essentially as follows: - a fat PS2 of any model (slims won't work with this method) - a SATA HDD with 1 TB (check for hard drive compatability online before purchasing one. The PS2 can handle HDDs up to 2 TB) - a USB 3.0 to SATA HDD docking port for your computer - a memory card with FreeMcBoot 1.966 pre-installed - a standard USB flash drive - Software: OPL Manager, WinHIIP - backed-up PS2 games (for legal reasons, I can't tell you where to find them, but there are 'archives' out there) GENERAL NOTES
Some sources say that using the program HDLBatch is better than WinHIIP because it transfers the games over more accurately. I cannot confirm this myself, but I haven't had any noticable issues using WinHIIP. Consider either option.
for games in .bin or .bin & .cue format, they'll need to be converted first. Open OPL Manager on your computer & there's a option at the top to do this.
I use a PS2 component/HD cord to output on a flat screen TV. If you use a HDMI adaptemod on your PS2, then I don't know if these tips will have a different affect.
All sources online say you should keep your FMCB Memory card in the 2nd slot, for some reason
WARNING: There is a feature in OPL to make a virtual memory card (VMC) on your hard drive for your game saves & it works well. However, do not use this on Metal Gear Solid 2 or 3 or any of its other discs as it will delete FreeMcBoot off your memory card! I suggest keeping a standard memory card in slot 1 for these games.
CONFIGURING THE GAMES: THE SIX MODES, DMA SPEEDS, & MORE Each game requires a particular set of modes to run properly. In OPL there are six of these modes to turn on or off in each game's settings on the game list. I have tested these on over 60 popular PS2 games until each one could be played flawlessly for over an hour: 1) Try booting a game first with all modes off. If the game doesn't boot or it freezes, try it with modes 1 & 3 on. If that doesn't help, try 1+3 with mode 6. If that doesn't work, try modes 2 and/or 5. - Alternatively, I found that booting a game with modes 1, 2, 3, & 6 on makes every one of the games boot. I have not seen any inverse reactions to having any of the modes on versus off. - Mode 4 turns off FMV cutscenes. It helps certain games to run better off of USB, but has no practical use in booting games from HDD, except for with Devil May Cry 1. 2) If a game freezes even with the right modes on, in the game's settings menu in OPL, try switching the DMA to MDMA-0. This best emulates the original PS2 optical disc drive data transfer rate. The default is set to UDMA-4 (the fastest), for some reason. Switching to MDMA-0 made most of my games play properly. The speeds are as follows: - MDMA-0 = 4 mb/s - MDMA-1 = 13 - MDMA-2 = 16 - UDMA-0 = 16 - UDMA-1 = 25 - UDMA-2 = 33 - UDMA-3 = 44 - UDMA-4 = 66 3) If the game boots but says that the controller is unplugged, try disabling the VMC (this is necessary for Megaman X8 & possibly other games) 4) If the game runs fine for awhile but freezes suddenly, try changing the "Automatic HDD spin down" to 5 or even 0 minutes (on the main OPL settings; it's set to 20 by default). If this doesn't work, try cooling the system down using a laptop cooler, change the internal fan, etc. or clean the inside of the PS2. * This particular HDD runs cool after an hour of playing with spin down set to zero, but I still get random freezing with some games. Any further insight to this problem would be appreciated. 5) If a game struggles to boot even with the right modes on, check that the GSM is turned off (it's off by default). Most games don't even boot with GSM set to anything above the standard setting (NTSC). If you want to try playing games in higher resolutions, tinker with this option with each game. It worked great on ICO, but it makes most of my games not even boot. INSTALLING THEMES, CHEATS, & MORE
Once you have a theme downloaded, put it on your flash drive & put it in the USB port of the PS2. Open uLaunchELF, transfer the file from :mass to :hdd>OPL>THM folder.

I keep Cheat Device on my thumb drive that I keep in my PS2. Someone told me that it won't work if you transfer it to your HDD, but I've not tested this.
I like to alphabetize my games & take the serial number out of the titles in OPL. To change the names of the games, put your HDD in the dock & attach it to the computer. Open WinHIIP by right-clicking & running as administrator. Select the PS2 drive from the top, wait for it to load, & your game list will appear. Check a game or multiple games & choose Edit Info.

CONCLUSION I've spent lots of time & energy in this project, but overall, it was absolutely worth it to play these great games again. The PS2 had lots of gems on it that have not been ported, are region-locked, or have been ported poorly (looking at you, Silent Hill HD Collection), so this is the easiest, safest, & most affordable way to play these titles today IMHO. Last week, over 1 million people tuned in to watch live. TommyInnit said they’d leave the past behind them; he wasn’t mad anymore. L’Manberg’s future was in jeopardy. “It’s got to be me and you versus Dream, just like it always has been,” said TommyInnit. Dream is the owner of the Dream SMP server, since May the home of a virtual world built whole-cloth by dozens of characters navigating intrigue and betrayal, with arcs and storylines more unpredictable than any reality television. Video games aren’t just pop culture, but material for its creation. And out of that knowledge, a new theatrical tradition has emerged—gunky and psychedelic and stupid and random in that “lol so randOm” way only the internet can be. On Twitch, the participants separately go live on their own channels to further the fictional drama through their unique perspectives for their millions of subscribers. Their fans have assembled Thucydidean wikis describing each and every conflict: the BT period (Before TommyInnit), the controversial election between the So We Are Gamers (SWAG2020) and Politicians of Gaming (POG2020) parties, the Second Pet War, right on to Doomsday. “Stories are usually told in a more traditional way in television, movies, and musicals. It is an art form that has become a bonafide viewing experience, a culture machine, closer in lineage to live theater than Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’ Fortnite trick shots. Minecraft SMP isn’t harkening in this new era of performance on its own. It is one piece of a renaissance. In the open-world action game Grand Theft Auto 5, gamers role-play messy interpersonal affairs and hard-boiled mafia narratives, moving their avatars and their vehicles around a sprawling city map. In 2019, at its peak popularity, viewers tuned in for over 17 million hours of GTA role-play over the course of just seven days. Recently, in the 2013 multiplayer survival-shooter Rust, a server run by Twitch streamer collective Offline TV has ascended to full-on reality television. Forming and breaking factions and stabbing each other with spears, dozens of top streamers vectored their personalities off the game to the effect of over a million viewers at its peak in early January. Games are commodities, and games are art; but they are also artistic media. For players who choose to use them this way, games are the sum of their mechanics and aesthetics, like the underbelly of a piano or the set of a Broadway play. (Some fans refer to the Dream SMP as “Minecraft Hamilton” because of players’ many references to the musical). And liveness matters. The spectator sport is in analyzing how, given the limitations of game mechanics, players coordinate and improvise narratives. Even in a slow, creative game like Minecraft, the artists see limits where others don’t, and don’t see limits where others do. QUACKITY, DREAM SMP Those qualities are also what make Dream the best-ever Minecraft player, according to countless videos on YouTube, where he has 10 million subscribers. Dream has held world records for Minecraft Survival mode speedruns, in which he exploits his knowledge of the game to mine materials, craft items, and beat the Ender Dragon, the biggest natural monster in the game, more quickly than anyone else. (In one run, he took a few extra seconds to name his sword “penis.” Some of Dream's speedruns are disputed; he has denied allegations of cheating.) His fame exploded in part due to his MinecraftManhunt YouTube series, in which he raced to kill the Ender Dragon with just one life while his friends, hot in pursuit with traps and weapons, attempted to thwart him. The game is his art, and the stream is his theater. His knowledge of Minecraft’s mechanics has given Dream SMP its own moments of high drama. A running storyline there is the “Disc Saga,” an ongoing battle to possess two rare records. TommyInnit once hid his discs deep under a mountain, live on stream but off camera so there was no visual record. As Dream searched around the mountain, he instead turned to sound, analyzing the footfalls and block-mining from his rival’s video. Like that, he captured the discs. If all the world’s a stage, the internet is doubly so. The immense popularity of video game theater is in part due to its accessibility as free, online entertainment. More concretely though, the internet is the ocean everybody is swimming in—viewers, performers, critics, and everybody in between. The performance is diffuse across the game, across Twitch and its archived YouTube video, streamers’ Twitters (where they whine), their Instagrams (where they flex). The stage has no pit; it appears flat. Dream has never even revealed his face. To his audience of Minecraft players, he is a Minecraft elemental, and they are all enjoying the same tides. On Doomsday, the battle for L’Manberg raged. Blocky avatars armed with swords bounced up and down across the district’s crumbling turf. Then, suddenly: “What?” yelled Tubbo, flames clouding his vision. Streams of explosives rained down; Dream had secretly installed TNT machines in the sky before the battle. The bricks comprising L’Manberg poofed out of existence. It was now a crater.
A review of various GTA V mod menus ( Disturbed, Luna, 2Take1, Impulse, etc. )
I will be reviewing these mod menu's as a normal user, so things such as protection testing, kicking, or crashing will not be covered too much as I do not encounter those situations too much. If you would like me to talk about a feature about a certain mod menu that I own, feel free to leave a message at the comments and I will review it for you. I have tried to be as unbiased as I can when reviewing these mod menus so that it can help you guys make a decision about which mod menu you may get. Disturbed: (Basic costs around $10, VIP costs another $20) By far the mod menu with the best support, extremely professional and quick to respond to your issues. The mod menu itself is kind of unstable at times, but is one of the best budget mod menu’s priced at around $10 for a lot of features that improves your gameplay experience along with powerful recovery features which has a lot of recovery options, as far as I know, I think the unlocks are unrivalled, with the most unlocks options I have seen in a mod menu. Disturbed has very quick updates, normally releasing a public beta testing version within a few days and finish the beta testing in around a week for normal access to be restored for the basic users. The mod menu has options for just about anything in the game, some are implemented kind of poorly such as ‘drift mode’ which instantly activates upon activation, which is kind of difficult to use practically and the vehicle boost function which increases or decreases in increments of 1 instead of 10, making it quite difficult to change the speed quickly. I would say the protections are quite good from what I have heard, but not as good as some other mod menu’s such as Luna. Not too sure about that as I have never really used Disturbed’s protections before. Overall, I would recommend this mod menu as it is quite cheap to get the basic version and the support team is extremely quick and professional. A new update is coming to Disturbed which should address the crashing issues that some people are going through with the mod menu. Luna: (Price locked at $27) Luna is a very good mod menu which packs many features for its price. It has some of the best kicks and crashes (aside from Cherax) and some of the best protections for a public mod menu. Priced at $27, it has features for trolling, recoveries, and generally having fun as this is one of the most stable mod menus I have ever used. Using this mod menu in missions is easy and provides little to no issues with the protections off. The report blocking feature also makes sure that you can maintain a good account reputation ( not that it really matters too much anymore ). It also includes features such as loading story mode mods with a ScriptHookV loader and load in custom vehicles. I would say that the custom vehicles do cause instability for the mod menu, but it still functions well enough. Updates are kind of regular, which each update adding new features that improves the user’s experience or expands on its already large list of options to choose from. For $27, it is one of the best mod menu’s to get for the average player either trying to protect themselves or have more fun with the game. However, Luna’s community has recently gone through quite the change, but I think everything should be going more or less smoothly from now, the community seems friendly enough, and the staff seems to be active to help out as well whenever a user requires some help or is running into an uncommon issue with the mod menu. Impulse: Essentials: (Around $10, price varies from reseller to reseller) Impulse Essentials is often compared with Disturbed Basic due to their similar prices, however, Impulse Essentials does not offer the same kind of experience compared to Disturbed. I would say that Impulse Essentials is more catered towards trolling other players and providing a fun experience for when you play GTA V or GTA Online, but not so much for recoveries. All versions of Impulse has kind of a slow recovery option, maximum at GTA$500,000 every few seconds, it is much slower compared to Disturbed’s GTA$6,000,000 per tick and Luna’s 2,500,000 chips per tick. However, Impulse does offer a more stable mod menu for the price even though the protection options are lesser compared to the VIP version. As the name says, Impulse Essentials is meant to provide you with the tools for having the basic modding experience in GTA Online. I think Impulse Essentials does not have a ScriptHookV loader and you cannot change the banner, but those should not really be too much of an issue as many fun features are already included in the Impulse Essentials mod menu. However, Impulse’s support is rarely online depending on your time zone. Impulse’s Discord server has quite a lot of resources on it, but I have heard people getting banned from there from doing seemingly nothing. Fortunately, from what I could see, unless you are being annoying or asking / doing what they would consider to be stupid things, you should be fine. Standard: Never owned the standard version of Impulse, so cannot really do a review of it. VIP: (Apparently it should be around $55 from most resellers) The VIP version of Impulse provides an extremely large number of features that is so large that it would be impractical to cover them here, a list of the features should be able to be found online. Impulse VIP has features that, as far as I know, are incomparable with other mod menu’s as Impulse VIP seriously has the largest list of features that I have ever seen. The features are extremely fun to use and has provided me with one of the most fun freemode experience that I have ever had with a mod menu. From vehicle weapons to spawning vehicles with custom parameters which allowed for control over freemode that I have never experienced before. The Impulse Overseer’s function allows for you to track players’ status and also you can lock lobbies to stop people from joining, which is a nice feature to have. The recovery features are still not that great, but everything else is very fun to use. Most of the features are quite stable and function as intended. If you have the budget for it and you want one of the most fun experiences in GTA Online freemode, Impulse VIP is a good option for you. However, Impulse has always had some issues with missions as their protections are kind of difficult to manage sometimes. Some solutions that I have seen online is to disable every single protection and join missions, however, I do not have too much experience playing missions with Impulse, but as far as I have tried it, it works well enough. I use the Impulse auto injector to use the mod menu, but the time it takes to authorize the current session is very long and sometimes makes the experience feel less polished. The user interface in Impulse VIP is one of the best designs I have ever seen in a GTA V mod menu aside from Disturbed’s user interface, which is also designed quite nicely. What I enjoy about Impulse VIP’s user interface is the information box at the bottom of the screen which talks more about the selected option and if there is a hotkey bound to the function and which key it is bound to if there is a hotkey set. It allows the user to quickly go through the information without guessing which key it is set to. Impulse VIP also has a search function for the mod menu which allows you to quickly look for a specific function in the mod menu as there are a lot of options to go through. Overall, I feel like Impulse VIP is quite good if you are planning to do a whole lot of things such as trolling or giving other players a funny experience with the various options in the mod menu. 2Take1: VIP: ( 2Take1 VIP Lifetime costs around $120 either with PayPal or from most resellers, 2Take1 also provides a standard edition, and a subscription license for both variants at varying prices. ) 2Take1 is by far the most stable mod menu (other than Kiddions mod menu) that I have ever used. It comes with most of the major features in the larger mod menu’s such as recovery with the ability to unlock most of the things in the game. There are options unique to this mod menu such as the chaos options which provides quite the experience for players in the lobby. My game does not really have any performance issues with 2Take1 and at times, I feel like my game is more stable with the mod menu. One of the features that I enjoy using with 2Take1 is the aimbot and triggerbot options as it causes your aim to move towards the target instead of having just the bullet hit the target, giving the user a more natural experience. 2Take1 comes with an editor that allows you to modify GTA V to your liking, removing or repositioning just about anything in the game. One of the other unique options is the LUA executor for the game, which allows the users to add functions to the mod menu, making it as simple or as powerful as they want it to be. 2Take1’s Discord server provides many LUA scripts to use with the mod menu and other configs for protections or for stat editing in order to provide the user with just about anything they would want to do with a mod menu if they can use LUA. A nice feature about 2Take1 is a business manager where you can enable an overlay that shows the status of all of your in-game businesses and manages them automatically for you, purchasing supplies, production, selling, etc.. With the ability to change license plates as well, it makes itself to be one of the most unique mod menus that is famous for its safety as it has been undetected for over a year and updates for the latest version of the game within hours. If you have the budget for it, 2Take1 is a very good mod menu that you know you can rely on for its reliability and function. However, the user interface of 2Take1 is not that nice in comparison to mod menus such as Disturbed and Impulse VIP. It looks quite basic and plain, but you can customize the fonts, the colours, and the headers to your liking, which can really transform how the mod menu looks if you put some time into customizing it. Overall, I can recommend this as one of the most stable mod menus for GTA V as I think I have never crashed with this mod menu by itself. Over mod menu: ( Priced at around $3 for now, price will apparently increase to $20 when Over V2 comes out. I would recommend purchasing from Protein, PringleMan or Elechugas from their Discord as they provide cheap prices with the best user support out of the majority of the other resellers in their Discord server. ) The mod menu itself is decent at best. Many of the options do not work, clicking on IP information instantly crashes your game, but I would say that it is a good entry level mod menu. Costing only around $3 for now, the resellers there such as Protein, PringleMan, and Elechugas has distinguished themselves from the majority of the other members of the staff by displaying friendliness and concern for the customers and quick response times. A warning for the people that are considering this option, their Discord server is quite toxic, with members of the staff saying this such as “Oh, the ScriptHookV loader doesn’t work? Well, nobody cares.” “Oh, the Fortnite cheat no longer works? Hm, really does not matter to me.” and banning people who are being kind of annoying with the way they describe their problems while being quite insulting to the people of colour. However, Over V2 is coming out soon, so the mod menu issues should be addressed by then. Unfortunately, the staff will likely continue to remain the same, but I think they are kind of toxic in a joking type of way? Not really sure how to explain it anymore. Over is a good entry level mod menu to get into modding as it also includes other cheats such as cheats for Fortnite, Among Us, and also includes a VPN as well. It is a good value for money license as far as I know. Kiddions mod menu (suggested by user): Kiddions is a free external mod menu for GTA V that you can download from UnknownCheats. Kiddions provides a lot of features for a free mod menu such as becoming invincible, teleporting, healing, spawning vehicles, repairing vehicles, anti-idle kick, and some basic protections. Kiddions also has quite a powerful unlocks sections, able to unlock many of the unlockables from past events. It also provides some fun features such as ammo modification, money dropping, and infinite vehicle boost or rockets. Unfortunately, being an external mod menu, Kiddions does not provide a smooth teleportation experience. Sometimes, using the teleportation function can result in your going into the ground, where you have to accelerate to get out of. Kiddions also cannot perform some features that people consider fun or for trolling since the capabilities of a mod menu that is external becomes more limited. Overall, Kiddions is a very good mod menu for beginners looking to get into GTA V modding as it also provides some recovery features such as changing levels, unlocking things in the game, and it also provides some money-making options such as doing bunker selling missions instantly or rigging the slot machines. I would recommend using Kiddions along with GTAHaxUI for general stat editing to make it a more complete experience. DiaModz website provides a download for Kiddions with GTAHaxUI along with the files for the various stats that you can edit inside the game. Phantom-X: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Ilusion Engine: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. X-Force: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. XCheats: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Fragment: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Tactical: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Lightning-X: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Robust: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Cherax: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything much about it now, but I have heard that it has the best kicks for a public mod menu. Paragon: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. Ephemeral mod menu: I do not own this mod menu, so I cannot write anything about it as of now. I would also be willing to review any mod menus that any team or mod menu staff sends me, of course, I will still be unbiased but I will try to be more detailed in any parts that you want me to specify on. I am done with this hole GME story, etc etc. I lost around 100€ but never mind. I used to play EU3 and HOI3 as a small Child and i loved it. I cheated a lot back then because I didnt understand those games but now a days, I love playing EU4 and HOI4 I love, how much love is given in those games and I believe in this company. I mean, just look in EU4, if you form the Roman Empire, how a lot of provinces have Latin names. I now those products and how good their are. I spend 1200 hours in HOI4 and another 1600 hours in eu4 and this games make still fun.

R5: Managed to finish off my Rome run before Marius was launched, grabbing Mare Nostrum, What have the Romans ever done for us, Times new Roman, Garum Nobile and Envy of the World. After uniting Italy and picking off Epirus I decided to take on Carthage (they were the biggest hindrance last time I attempted and failed). Unfortunately the Punic Wars missions insist on taking their Spanish possessions first, and I learned the hard way that you have to have all the new provinces you take in your diplomatic range, you can't daisy-chain by grabbing a series of ports in a single peace deal. After Carthage was Greece, which was in a convenient defensive pact that let me grab almost all the minor nations in a single peace. I then tried to alternate wars between the Eastern med and finishing off the Illyrian tribes. The last land to grab for the achievement was an oversized Arvenia, who controlled the southern half of Gaul and northern half of Hispania. After taking Greece point nobody really presented a challenge. The Seleukids did declare war on my twice, and lost twice, letting me grab Palmyra. The Bosporan kingdom did manage to grab a province in Sarmatia from me in the last 10 years as I tried to clean up my Gaulic borders. The real challenge I faced was food - I nearly always had starving pops SOMEWHERE in the empire, and nobody wanted to trade any food to me. Pro-tip for any empire builders, protect the food supply at all costs. Overall a fun run, going that big does have some aspects that stop being fun soon enough, like the constant spam of generals and governors dying and needing replacement by a member of some ticked off family. After about 150 years I gave up entirely on managing buildings, governor policies, provincial capitals, trade routes etc and just concentrated on painting the map a glorious red.
R5: I finally finished it! I finished a Catholic One Faith speedrun, in exactly 29 years. This is the third in a series of reddit posts ((Creation of the WC Speedrun), ((AI creates the HRE, Tribal Primogeniture)) that I highly recommend you check out, they're also pretty in-depth. If you weren’t aware, there’s a way to quickly convert a county’s faith. If a ruler matches their realm capital’s faith, when they change faith, they will convert their capital with them. However, this does not occur if you demand conversion— only if they decide to change faith with the player via the religion interface. In other words, if you want to quickly convert the world to catholicism, have 2547 direct vassals, one for each county in the world, and then convince them to convert with you to catholicism. Easier said than done! Here’s how I did it. Step 1. Conquer the world, obviously. Step 2. Imprison all of your king vassals, retract all their vassals. This will cause everyone to dislike you, for some reason. Step 3. Cause an omega-war. An omega-war is caused when you fail to imprison an indirect vassal. The indirect vassal will revolt and lead a tyranny war, and then every direct vassal that isn’t terrified of you will join in. I chose to “fail” to imprison a one-legged, brave person with more than 8 martial, so when they declared a civil war, I had an 83% chance to stackwipe and capture them, instantly winning the war. (Omega-War 1), (Omega-War 2) Step 4. Take all your newly imprisoned vassals, and retract their titles and vassals. Release prisoners to reduce dread, and iterate omega-wars until your only vassals are craven/content people who will never join a rebellion. Step 5. Imprison those craven/content vassals, retract their titles. It takes 4-9 days to imprison a single vassal, which is why omega-wars save a lot of in-game time. Imagine if we had to imprison 1000 vassals manually; it would take an average of 6500 days, or approximately 18 years! Step 6. Now that we own every single county and barony in the world, (Look ma, no vassals!), it’s time to die. This is for two reasons— it resets tyranny, and it resets the timer on exceeding the domain limit, temporarily granting us reprieve from the opinion penalty. We also won’t have an “opinion of previous ruler” penalty, because we have no vassals. Step 7a. On our new heir, we rack up tons of piety by repeatedly trying to grant Rome to the pope. Due to a bug, because the citizens of Rome believe in a different religion that has no head of faith, the pope fails to actually obtain Rome. But we still get 250 piety. Repeat as desired. Step 7b. We can also obtain as much prestige as we want, by repeatedly marrying and divorcing. Step 8. It’s time to create 2547 one-county vassals. It doesn’t really matter if they match their counties faith, because there is a workaround. I chose to grant counties to same-faith courtiers, because of the same-faith bonuses I had. I wrote a macro to automate this step, and it still took 18 hours to finish. Step 9. Our heir has a ton of opinion bonuses (sasohyant resurgent, beautiful, living legend), and will be able to convince most vassals to convert. I bribe the zealous vassals with the least opinion of me, just in case. Step 10. The workaround is this: we’re going to convert to every faith (with at least one county) anyway. Since all our vassals convert with us, all the counties that match the current faith will convert when we switch to the next faith. You want to do the faiths with taqiya/sanctioned false conversions/pastoral isolation first, because you do not want those negative modifiers on all your counties. Step 11. Celebrate achieving a One Faith speedrun, and try not to think too hard about all the falsely converted vassals. Whew! It took about 36 hours to play these 3.5 in-game years. Could this be improved? Absolutely. With a custom ruler with callous that stacks -100% tyranny, you can have 100 opinion all the time. If you integrate the world conquest and the one faith, you could avoid the lag and tedium that comes with having to create all the one-county vassals all at once, by doing it while you conquer the world. Furthermore, if you save the Chakravarti decision until after step 8, you can save a lot of time because of all the free county conversions you get. There’s another reason for wanting to create the HRE, trigger a succession, and create 2547 vassals in this particular way, but I’ll keep that a secret for now.

Free tools & menus Although the majority of free menus ARE viruses, scams, detected etc. As far as I know there is 1 decent free menu, decent as in safe to use any paid menu can easily out-class it and can probably crash there game. The free tools/menu that I would recommend are Kiddons Modest Menu - https://www.unknowncheats.me/forum/grand-theft-auto-v/433685-kiddions-modest-external-menu.html This is the one and only free mod menu out there. Its recovery options and tools are lacking however you can set your own experience level with it. It also has a god mode option and a basic vehicle spawner. You can make a decent amount of cash with this menu by going into Online Services/Casino/Rig Slot Machines and remove the limit. With this play the Egyptian themed slot machine and always bet max. You will win every time and you’ll make around 2.5mil per loop, you can cash out the chips to cash. It’s a slow method but the most effective one with kiddons and it still beats dropping yourself or grinding. GTAHaX - https://www.unknowncheats.me/forum/grand-theft-auto-v/275597-gtahax-1-52-external.html This is a stat editor for GTA 5, it’s only really useful for setting your character stats, unlocking locked items and skipping heist preps. You cannot modify your xp or cash with this although there might be a way to modify your health, which would be pointless as all menus include a god option. This is also free, Its not a menu but I still include it as it is a cheating tool. GTA 5 Online Mechanics to know for modding GTA 5 is a P2P, or Peer to Peer game for online. There are two special types of players used for this, Host and Script Host. Hosts will be hosting the lobby and most menus, except for kiddons ofc, have an option to use a host kick that will kick ANY player in the game, regardless of what protections they have enabled. This is basically an UNBLOCKABLE kick, this is why becoming host is so valued, some people will even kick ½ the lobby in order to gain host. As a host your game can still be crashed or kicked by other modders though, it depends on whether or not your menu is good enough to withstand the kick. Some mod menu’s. You then only need to kick one person. After host there is script host, you can take this away from any player WITHOUT kicking them, although kicking them also works, Script host has a stronger kick than normal but it can still be blocked, so even though it’s nice to be script host it isn’t required or even super helpful. Paid Menus and what they are good at I’ll be listing menu’s then talking about them and what they have pros/cons at. There isn’t an exact tier-list however as it mainly depends on what you want Luna– This is the mod menu I personally usually use, its quick to update and has pretty good recovery options, kicks and protections. As far as I know it’s got the best protections from other menu’s as well as kicks/crashes. It’s not the most stable menu however and I’ve noticed that I crash more with it than normal, although not an extremely high amount. It costs $25 and can be got fromhttps://lunacheats.org/welcome/ Not taking sides, menu was either taken down by a C&D or it was an exitscam. There is no proof of a C&D, articles use Luna as source and Luna use Articles as source but there is also no proof of an exitscam as menu was doing pretty well at the time they got rid of it. Impulse – Impulse has a few tiers, I’m not too familiar with the individual tiers however Impulse is usually known for its good trolling options, last I checked its recovery options were not that good however it’s still a good menu if you’re looking to troll. It can cost $15 - $50 depending on what tier you get. You can get Impulse from https://impulse.one/ Disturbed – Disturbed is a medium tier menu in my opinion, its not good at crashing other people or protecting against other menu’s however it has great recoveries and it is cheap. It costs around $10-$15. I would not recommend buying Disturbed VIP as your better off getting a different menu. You can get it from https://www.w1tch.pro/ Phantom-X – Phantom-X is also a cheaper menu, It compares to Impulse in the sense that it’s good for trolling and I’ve even seen some people say its better for trolling. However Phantom-X doesn’t seem to be good at that much else. From what I’ve heard its pretty stable. Paragon – Paragon is one of the more expensive menus. It’s very stable and has a pretty nice looking menu in my opinion. I’ve used it for a while during the free weekend and liked it. It used to be known for its great protections but recently it’s been lacking in protections. However it has decent trolling options, more recently it seems like an all-around menu. You can get it from https://paragoncheats.com/ Ozark – I haven’t tried Ozark much, it’s a cheaper menu but its also in beta. It looks promising and has some unique features. Apparently it has a WIP Lua Injector which is great news for people who are in special groups or know how to code Lua. You can get it from https://ozark.gg/ 2Take1 – 2Take1 is usually considered to be the best menu out there, especially if you know Lua as it is the only menu with a working Lua injector. However it is also the most expensive menu and it also partially uses a subscription model, the menu costs $140 to permanently keep and it can be brought from https://2take1.menu/ Menu’s that you should NEVER get I’ll just list these off without much elaboration as they are usually stolen code, have poor support or are viruses. Free Youtube/Ebay/Discord Menus – 99% of these are going to be viruses and the other 1% is going to be detected. Don’t install Kiddons from a youtube video go to the unknowncheats link I posted, make an account and get it from there if you want it. Kingpin – Pretty bad over-all, usually considered to be the worst menu out there. Never get any mod menu’s that are new, they can be exit-scams and will usually take the cash and bail after a month. Examples of these exit scam menu’s are - Over - Hypno - Indara A lot of these exit scam menu’s are also using stolen code. Resellers Since most mod menu’s use bitcoin only there are resellers which can sometimes charge at a slightly higher price but will deliver the menu and accept payment forms like PayPal. Hello GW Friends! It's been forever since I visited this sub, but hopefully a few of you guys remember me! I modded the Guitar Hero forum (and possibly others?) many years ago! Over the past year, I have played more games than in the past 4 or 5 combined, and that is more related to a change in life circumstances than because of COVID. I've seen this type of post in other subs, but figured I'd do it here and hopefully connect with a few of you guys again. I'll rank my top 10 at the bottom. Just as a headsup - I really only owned a PS4 this year until about October, when I also bought a Switch, so 90% of these games I played on PS4. I actually missed out on a ton of games over the last decade, so I took advantage of remasters and other re-releases. Here we go! Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) This is the PS4 re-release. I totally get why people loved this game, but it very much feels like a PS2 era game that would be better to play as a kid when you can play it over and over again. It was a cool change of pace to fight only bosses and have each one with a unique challenge. The story had a bit of an interesting twist, so I would definitely recommend this if you can get ahold of it cheap! Bioshock (PS4) This came from the Bioshock collection, but I'm going to review/rank the games individually. Bioshock reminds me of Majora's Mask - it's the type of game where I like the idea and lore of the game more than the game itself. It's very dark (and honestly kind of frightening at the beginning), and not the most user friendly game. I know a lot of reddit loves that sort of stuff, but I have to admit that it was only the story that kept me pushing through. I did love the ending, and I totally understand why this is an essential video game to play (much like Majora's Mask), but I am unlikely to revisit it. Bioshock 2 (PS4) This game vastly improved on the gameplay of the first. That said, the story was less interesting and less compelling. Even though Ken Levine wasn't at the helm for this one, I still feel like it's a worthy entry to the Bioshock franchise, and I'd definitely play it if you liked the first. Uncharted 1/2/3 (PS4) Unlike Bioshock, I'm going to review these together because they honestly did blend together for me. Perhaps it's one of those "you had to be there" franchises, but I honestly found these games to be extremely mediocre. I liked the first two the best, but there's nothing in these games that you can't experience better elsewhere IMO. Again, I'd suggest playing the first two for historical importance, but the story definitely won't hook you. I also liked the characters in #2 the best! Uncharted 4 (PS4) This just felt like a "next-gen" (though I guess "current-gen" at the time) version of the previous games. It was bigger and more expansive, but not necessarily better. it's entirely possible that I had major Uncharted fatigue by the time I played this, as I still think 1 and 2 are better, despite perhaps feeling a bit less polished. Spyro Trilogy (PS4) I think I actually got halfway through the first one a couple years ago, but I revisited the trilogy this year and loved it. I never played the originals, but the remasters were super fun. The first was probably my favourite, but all three had tons of inventive worlds and fun ways to collect stuff. Definitely not as good as what Nintendo does, but still a must-buy for $20 or less. Call of Duty WWII This was more fun than I think people give it credit for. The multiplayer definitely needed more maps, but the mode that somewhat resembled Ground War from the old World at War days was great. I've been largely out of the COD scene since Ghost so I can't say how it compares against the other games, but I got this for free from PS+ and I would have had no problem paying $20 or $30 for it. Zombies was fun too, but my friends weren't convinced, so I didn't really get a chance to play it much. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS4) Unlike many of the other old games on this list, this is a straight port and not a remaster or reimagining. Honestly, it didn't grip me and so I think it's the only game on this list I didn't finish. Perhaps next year I'll go back again. Knack 2 (PS4) I am the minority for having liked the first Knack, and so this game was basically like that except better. The gameplay of crushing enemies and growing bigger or smaller felt really polished. The plot is largely non-existent (or rather, my attention span of it was non-existent), but if you want a fun, kid-friendly action-adventure game, you can't go wrong with Knack 2. Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4) I'd never played a Dragon Age game before, so I didn't know what to expect, but this was cheap. I honestly didn't like this - I don't think I'm built for RPGs. I don't like having a rotating party and ended up using the same group of 3 others the whole time. This felt like the ultimate hack 'n' slash, which is probably more of a testament to my playstyle than the way the game is designed. The plot was confusing at times, and perhaps due to a backlog of games, I didn't feel any interest in doing the side missions beyond what was needed to progress. I would avoid this, even at a cheap price. Demon's Crest (Switch) The next few games were from the SNES collection that you get if you have a Switch online membership. I'd played all 3 of them as a kid and had to revisit them! Demon's Crest is the most obscure of the three, but is tons of fun! I will admit that I cheated and used a guide, but games were hard back then! This game is cool because you get a variety of different gargoyles who each have different abilities to use. The bosses are imaginative, and about half of them are really hard, and the other half are really easy. Unfortunately I didn't unlock the secret ending, but have to admit that I didn't have the patience to try again :P Donkey Kong Country (Switch) If you thought Demon's Crest was hard, this honestly has to be one of the hardest games I've ever played. I abused the Switch's ability to create save states to muddle my way through this game, but it is fun. Diddy Kong controls slightly different from Donkey Kong, so I did like playing as him better as it was a bit easier to make certain jumps. This game was just a pure blast of nostalgia, even though I never beat it as a kid. Super Mario World (Switch) This is a god-tier Mario game. Absolutely loved it, and it put me in the mood for more Nintendo content! And now, the top 10! 10. Fall Guys (PS4) Battle Royales are all the rage now and this one is super addictive. I admit that I tapped out towards the end of the first season, but this is such a cool concept of racing against 59 other people trying to get to the end of a course. Some of the other map types weren't the best, though I eventually grew to like nearly everything. Surprisingly, this game is more fun solo than with friends, as if someone gets knocked out in an earlier round, they have to sit and watch you play through the rest. The collectibles are so fun that it's definitely worth it though. Compared to the other BR in this list though, I think I just started winning too often for the novelty to stay more than a few weeks. 9. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) I'm not sure if I played the original, but this re-imagining is great! The only downside are the frame drops, but if you can look past those, this game is super fun. The combat has tons of cool options for you to use Link's different weapons, and the world encourages you to backtrack a lot as you unlock new items. Normally, I actually prefer more linear experiences but the map in this game is small enough that it is fun to backtrack and find new loot. The dungeons were some of the tightest experiences I've ever had (though the 7th dungeon was near-impossible without a bit of help from the internet!), and the bosses were great. The dungeon maker honestly wasn't that exciting to me, but it's a cool idea, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Nintendo flesh it out in the future. 8. Grand Theft Auto V (PS4) I might be the last person to have played this game, but it was worth the wait. The game was a lot more fun than GTA IV, largely because the characters were so likeable. Playing as 3 different people was a really fun take on the classic GTA formula, so even though there are a lot of similarities to past games, it always felt like there was something new to do, depending on who you wanted to play as. I admit that I didn't spend a lot of time messing around after beating the story, but you could easily spend days and days on this game. 7. Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) The concept behind this game is one of the coolest. What could be better than giant killer dinosaur robots? Aloy is a super fun character, and although much of the game is your classic open-world adventure game, the combat was varied enough to keep it interesting. I get the impression that the sequel is going to be much, much better given that this was a new IP, though I'll try to avoid the hype train (since we just saw a trainwreck with Cyberpunk!) 6. Bioshock Infinite (PS4) This was by far my favourite Bioshock game. The world and the lore feels so fleshed out. I'm not much of an escapism person when it comes to games, but I definitely felt transported to another world while playing this game. The gunplay is very simplified from the other games, but I kind of liked that. I also loved that you can hop on rails in various points of the game, and I was honestly surprised that was a smooth as it was. The Bioshock collection is worth it for this alone! 5. The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) This was another game where I had to be amongst the last people to play it. This is one of the few games where I could not put it down until I beat the story. It's so engaging because the characters feel very real and you get invested in their stories. Gameplay-wise I would compare it to Uncharted, but it was much better because the surrounding environments felt more appropriate for the light shooter elements (compared to a full-scale FPS-type game). I do plan to play TLOU 2, but am waiting for it to drop in price a bit. 4. Call of Duty: Warzone (PS4) This game arguably should be number one because I think I'm over 350 hours in it and that's over 3 times as many hours as any other game on the list. I play this literally every single day with my friends. It is the perfect BR mainly because the difficulty of winning is just right. We seem to win once every two weeks (though wins always come in 2's for some reason), and it's just frequent enough to keep you coming back. I actually find the guns to be pretty balanced (though I'll never abandon my trust PKM), and even the gulag is super fun. The reason why it doesn't win #1 is because it's honestly a pretty poorly made game. There are so many basic things that it doesn't do correctly from a technical perspective (like not being able to pick stuff up by holding square half the time), and I knon that once the thrill of this game disappears amongst my friends, I won't ever play it again. 3. Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) This was my first Switch game, and really my first Nintendo home console game since the N64. This was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. It felt like the perfect successor to Super Mario 64. The creativity is unmatched, and using Cappy to let you control other characters was a brilliant idea. Some of the moons were so incredibly difficult, and by the end, you definitely felt like you were a master at maneuvering Mario. The only slight point I'll dock this game for is the jump rope moon - that one is way too hard! 2. Pokemon Shield (Switch) I just beat this and am currently playing the DLC, so there is a bit of recency bias here. This was the first pokemon game I've played since Diamond/Pearl. I have read all of the criticism online and while I understand it, it's not a big issue for me. more than any other game on this list, this is the game that had me saying "that is so cool" constantly. The wild area is a brilliant idea, and based on the DLC, it seems like they'll expand on it in the future. I do have some criticisms of the game, but I'll gladly overlook them because this brought me back to my childhood and I loved this game! I'll leave out the criticisms because this post has probably been more negative than positive as a whole :P 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4) This game wins the #1 spot simply because it has arguably the best story out of any game I've played. Much like with TLOU, I was completely hooked and played this nonstop to hit the end (so much so, that I kind of wish I slowed down). I did stick around and do a lot of the post-game stuff as well - hunting legendary animals and catching legendary fish, plus tons of missions and collectibles. This was just a great time. All in all, while 2020 was a pretty rough year, it brought great things for me in gaming. For 2021, there are a number of Switch games I need to buy (Breath of the Wild, in particular) so I anticipate to have just as much fun gaming! Definitely hoping to hear people's thoughts on any of these games (if you made it to the end of this rambling :P)
Rockstar Customer Support at its finest - ignorance towards glitches and cheats
TL;DR Rockstar Custommer Support has no tools and will to help people affected by cheaters/glitchers and is putting me on constant loop hoping I get bored of complaining. Giving me mail adrresses that are not up to date, guides that do not work and copy/paste replys. I had an issue some time ago, concerning my account. It was hacked and taken away from me. After some time when I relized about the issue, I managed to get it back. However, the hacker who played GTA V Online mode managed to cheat his way and glitch billions of dollars on my character. This amount is probably worth thousands of US dollars in Shark Cards (ingame monetization). This was not detected and sat on my account for over half a year. Here is where it gets interesting. I did not like that and wanted to get my GTA V Online account wiped to start fresh without any connections to illegal activities. To spend all that money and clean it myself would be extremely tedious and take a lot of time, since there are limitations on how much you can spend in one transaction and I had litteral billions of dollars to do so. I asked them to wipe my account to start fresh. Hovewer, from the start I was given replys as below: "Hello \****,* Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. To keep the gameplay environment as fair as possible for legitimate players, we routinely do sweeps to ban cheaters and to reverse any illegitimate transactions. An example of this can be found in this support article:https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/115008697067 These sweeps are based on examination of suspicious gameplay statistics and manually-reviewed evidence submitted by the Community. If you have not engaged in any cheating, you do not need to worry about getting suspended or banned. However, we may remove the illegitimately gained funds during one of our sweeps. Best regards, Rockstar Support" As you can see this reply is giving me basically almost no information about the process in question. I do not know when it will be done, if it will be done and how will I know about it. It basically says please wait, maybe we will do it, maybe we won't. There is not much information in the attached link either. I did press on and wanted more information. Below a second answer: "Hello \****,* Thanks for getting in touch with us! We understand that you would like to have your character wiped in order for you to be able to start from scratch again. In this case, we would like to let you know that you can perform a manual character deletion by following these steps:
Go to the Online tab and select Swap Character
Select the Character which you wish to delete
Press the concerned key to select the delete option
Type DELETE using popped up the keypad and confirm
If you have further questions, please let us know. We will be more than happy to assist you. Best regards, Rockstar Support" This method does NOT work. Even when you delete all characters, the cash on bank account still persists. Basically, they have no knowledge about their own game. I persisted and asked further questions. This next one is a bomb: "Hello \****,* Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. To keep the gameplay environment as fair as possible for legitimate players, we routinely do sweeps to separate out cheaters and modders, and to reverse any illegitimate transactions. These sweeps are based on in-game automated detection, examination of suspicious gameplay statistics, and also manually-reviewed evidence submitted by the Community. If you were not engaged in any willful cheating or exploiting, you do not need to worry about getting caught up in our work to separate out cheaters from the rest of the population. If you would like to provide feedback about the Cheater Pool system, please email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). We appreciate any input you have about ways to improve the system. Best regards, Rockstar Support" The email that was given is NOT valid. It redirects me back to the main customer support site where I started. So they basically put me on a neverending loop. All I asked is to just wipe my online account to start fresh. This account had illegal money for over half a year, and was not detected so I cannot trust their anticheat/glitch tools. Furthermore, I can't trust them if I continue to play in fear that they will take my legally earned funds as well. My conclusion is as follows:
Rockstart Customer Support has no tools to actually support people regarding cheating/glitching,
They do not care about cheating in their own game, as long as the cash is flowing,
They ignore player complains and hope that we will get bored of complaining.
I just gave them thousands of real US dollars of illegal money and they have chosen to ignore it. It is their money, that not landed on their bank account, and instead glitched from thin air. I have lost all motivation to play this game right now.
