Matthew Davey — Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Davey has over 25 years of experience within the digital media, sports, entertainment, leisure and gaming ecosystems, as well as experience in the public sector. He is an experienced public company executive officer and board member. He has served in executive management positions across the gaming technology arena. Over the course of Mr. Davey’s career, he oversaw more than ten mergers and acquisitions and over $1.2 billion in debt and equity capital raised to support the companies he has led.
Most recently, Mr. Davey was Chief Executive Officer of SG Digital, the Digital Division of Scientific Games Corp. (“Scientific Games”) (Nasdaq: SGMS). SG Digital was established following the purchase by Scientific Games of NYX Gaming Group Limited (“NYX”) (formerly TSXV: NYX), where Mr. Davey served as Chief Executive Officer and Director. The NYX acquisition provided Scientific Games with a vehicle to significantly accelerate the scale and breadth of its existing digital gaming business, including the strategic expansion into sports betting. In his capacity as Chief Executive Officer of NYX, Mr. Davey developed and implemented a corporate strategy that generated strong revenue growth. Mr. Davey shaped company strategy to focus on digital gaming supplier platforms and content that provided various gaming operators with the underlying gaming and sports betting systems for their online gaming business. In 2014, Mr. Davey oversaw the initial public offering of NYX, and his experience in the digital media, sports, entertainment, leisure and gaming industries helped NYX recognize momentum as a public company. After the public offering, from 2014 to 2018, Mr. Davey oversaw seven acquisitions which helped establish NYX as one of the fastest growing global B2B real-money digital gaming and sports betting platforms. These acquisitions included:
• OpenBet: In 2016, NYX completed the $385 million acquisition of OpenBet. This was one of the more complex and transformative acquisitions that Mr. Davey oversaw at NYX. Through securing co-investments from William Hill (LSE: WMH), Sky Betting & Gaming and The Stars Group (formerly Nasdaq: TSG, TSX: TSGI), Mr. Davey was able to get the acquisition from Vitruvian Partners completed successfully, winning the deal against much larger and well capitalized competitors. By combining two established and proven B2B betting and gaming suppliers, NYX was well positioned to provide customers with exciting player-driven solutions across all major product verticals and distribution channels. This allowed NYX to become the leading B2B omni-channel sportsbook platform in the market and the supplier to over 300 gaming operators globally with an extensive library of desktop and mobile game titles, including more than 700 on NYX platforms and more than 2,000 on the OpenBet platform.
• Cryptologic/Chartwell: In 2015, NYX completed the $119 million acquisition of Cryptologic and Chartwell. The acquisition provided NYX with more than 400 titles of additional leading gaming content, a broader customer base, and direct exposure to PokerStars and Intercasino, part of the Gamesys Group (LSE: GYS) — two of the world’s largest online casino offerings.
• OnGame: In 2014, NYX completed the distressed acquisition of OnGame, a premier poker content, platform and service provider. This acquisition provided NYX with one of the best poker products in the industry, access to several regulated jurisdictions, and a valuable talent pool that was instrumental in the growth of NYX. The addition of OnGame further established a path for NYX to continue its growth in both European and U.S. markets.
These acquisitions, together with meaningful organic growth, increased NYX’s revenue from $24 million in 2014 to $184 million annualized in 2017. During that time, Mr. Davey helped build NYX to have over 200 customers in the global gaming industry and a team of 1,000 employees. Mr. Davey’s success at NYX ultimately led to its sale to Scientific Games for $631 million in 2018.
Mr. Davey joined Next Gen Gaming, the predecessor to NYX, in 2000 as the Vice President of Technology, was appointed as Executive Director in 2003 and named Chief Executive Officer in 2005. Prior to that, he was the Senior Consultant for Access Systems, a company that specializes in the provision of back-end software for licensed online casinos. Prior to joining Access, Mr. Davey worked for the Northern Territory Government specializing in matters pertaining to the internet and e-commerce along with roles in the Department of Racing and Gaming. Mr. Davey received a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Northern Territory University, Australia (also known as Charles Darwin University).
Robin Chhabra — President
Mr. Chhabra has been at the forefront of corporate acquisition activity within the digital gaming landscape for over a decade. His prior experience includes leading corporate strategy, M&A, and business development at two of the global leaders in the digital gaming industry, The Stars Group (“TSG”) and William Hill, and a leading supplier, Inspired Gaming Group (Nasdaq: INSE). Mr. Chhabra served on the Group Executive Committees of each of these companies. From 2017 to May 2020, Mr. Chhabra served as Chief Corporate Development Officer at TSG and, from 2019 to August 2020, he also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Fox Bet, a leading U.S. online gaming business which is the product of a landmark partnership between TSG and FOX Sports, a transaction which he led. During that period, Mr. Chhabra led several transactions which transformed TSG into the largest publicly listed online gambling operator in the world by both revenue and market capitalization and one of the most diversified from a product and geographic perspective with revenues of over $2.5 billion. Mr. Chhabra’s M&A experience is extensive and covers multiple global geographies across the digital gaming value chain and includes the following:
• TSG/Flutter Entertainment Merger: In 2019, Mr. Chhabra led the TSG M&A team that was responsible for TSG’s $12.2 billion merger with Flutter Entertainment (LSE: FLTR). The merger between TSG and Flutter Entertainment is the largest transaction in the digital gaming industry to date. The combination created the largest publicly listed online gaming company with approximately 13 million active customers and leading product offerings, which include sports betting, online casino, fantasy sports and poker. The combined entity includes some of the world’s most iconic digital gaming brands such as Fanduel, Fox Bet, Sky Bet, PaddyPower, Betfair, PokerStars and SportsBet. TSG/Flutter Entertainment is one of the most geographically diverse digital gaming and media companies with leading positions in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany and Georgia.
• TSG/Sky Betting and Gaming (“SBG”): In 2018, Mr. Chhabra led the acquisition of SBG from CVC Capital Partners and Sky plc, Europe’s largest media company, in a transaction valued at $4.7 billion. At the time of the acquisition SBG was the largest mobile gambling operator in the United Kingdom and one of the fastest growing of the major operators having doubled its online market share in three years. The acquisition of SBG provided TSG with (a) greater revenue diversification, significantly enhanced expertise and exposure to sports betting just ahead of the judicial overturn of The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) by the U.S. Supreme Court, (b) a leading position within the United Kingdom, the world’s largest regulated online gaming market, (c) improved products and technology as a result of the addition of SBG’s innovative casino and sports book offerings and a portfolio of popular mobile apps, and (d) expertise in deeply integrating sports betting with leading sports media companies, positioning TSG to create more engaging content, deliver faster growth and decrease customer acquisition costs.
• William Hill (LSE: WMH): At William Hill, from 2010 to 2017, Mr. Chhabra served as Group Director of Strategy and Corporate Development where he led several transactions which contributed to William Hill’s transformation from a land-based gambling operator in the United Kingdom to a leading online-led international business. Mr. Chhabra led William Hill’s entry into the U.S. sports betting and online lottery markets with the acquisition of four businesses, including the simultaneous acquisitions of three U.S. sportsbooks, Cal Neva, American Wagering and Brandywine Bookmaking, in 2011 for an aggregate purchase price of $55 million. These businesses ultimately led William Hill to achieve a leading position in the U.S. sports betting market with a market share of 24% in 2019. Additionally, Mr. Chhabra played a key role in structuring William Hill’s successful joint venture with PlayTech Plc (LSE: PTEC) in 2008. The combined entity created one of the largest online gambling businesses in Europe at the time of its formation and led to William Hill’s buyout of Playtech’s interest for $637 million in 2013. Prior to the transaction, William Hill had struggled in its attempt to establish a strong online gaming platform and a meaningful presence outside the United Kingdom.
Mr. Chhabra has also successfully completed four transactions worth over $1.2 billion in Australia, the world’s second largest regulated online gambling market, and various partnerships in Asia. Additionally, he completed several technology and media related transactions, including William Hill’s investment in NYX, where he worked with Mr. Davey on NYX’s transformational acquisition of OpenBet.
Prior to working in the gaming sector, Mr. Chhabra was an equities analyst and a management consultant. Mr. Chhabra received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Poker, Politics & Parenting with Jerrard Parfait
My guest is Jerrard Parfait. He’s a friend of fifteen years who has a strong aptitude for risk-taking. In fact, we spend the first hour of this episode talking about poker, decision-making and emotional intelligence.
We also discuss politics & parenting. Parfait, as I call him, lives with his wife, Carolyn, and son, Luke, in South Louisiana. We reminisce on our college days here—playing poker & blackjack at “Grandma Harrah’s” in New Orleans. He believes poker sharpens your skills because of its competitive nature. And much like playing golf, Parfait says, “you must put in a lot of time in order to be good at it.”
We also discuss screen time & social media. While I envision a future where social media is stigmatized as a low-class activity, Parfait believes otherwise. He says people are way too consumed with showing their best life on social media to abandon it.

US Poker Trip - Need tips on cities and rooms!

Hello Poker Friends,
I am an avid and regular poker player - live and online. I live in Kansas City and the poker scene here is great! I know a few groups of players who host home games and the casinos have great action too. Harrah's and Hollywood are where it is at for the juicy games. Ameristar isn't too bad but overall not as hot as the other two.

I try and play poker on every trip or vacation I go on. Sometimes just one session unless I base the whole trip around poker like I do when I went to Las Vegas twice.

Cities I have played in:
Many rooms on the Las Vegas strip, all the major ones
Daytona Beach Poker Kennel Club
Seattle Fortune Poker
Omaha Horsehoe
Downstream OK

So overall it has only been a handful of cities but I want to expand that. I went to Vegas twice last year and was so excited to go again in April until it was shutdown. Too bad. But now I am more pumped than ever to go and I cannot wait.
I have a lot of fyler points and can do at least 3 more trips. I want to go to Las Vegas once more of course but I really want to try to do a trip where I visit a city for just two nights and visit 2-3 poker rooms during my time in the city. Can you guys suggest good poker rooms in your cities to play in? Maybe we can have a meet up! Here are the cities I am thinking.

Chicago
Houston
Tampa Bay / Orlando
Somewhere on the East Coast
Los Angeles
Maybe Seattle again

What do you guys have in mind?

A Crash Course on Casino Bonuses

A Crash Course on Casino Bonuses

Casino bonuses are offers being given by online casinos that would enable a player to avail of bonus betting money to wager on the several casino games being offered. The amount may differ for different online casinos.

Online casinos have been flooding the online world lately. It seems that they have been trying very hard in attracting more and more players to try their luck at online casinos. They have been have been trying to think up of different offers to catch a potential playerís attention. One such promotion is offering different types of casino bonuses to get people into playing on their online casinos.
Casino bonuses are offers being given by online casinos that would enable a player to avail of bonus betting money to wager on the several casino games being offered. The amount may differ for different online casinos. Some may give out 25 to 50 dollar bonuses for a minimum bet. There are even some online casinos that can offer a 100 percent match bonus for every deposit that the player makes. This means that if the player deposits $100 o his account, the online casino will match that amount in full, making the player acquire $200 initial betting money on his account. There are also other casinos offering bonuses next to nothing, just to have people have a taste of playing online and possibly have them hooked to play some more later on.
Although you might think that this is easy money on your part, there are certain requirements that you have to follow in order to cash in on your proceeds. Online casinos have established these requirements as a safeguard to possible abusers of their offer. One of the usual requirements is that a player should wager at least 25 times the amount of deposit and bonus before being able to cash in. There are some games like baccarat, craps, roulette and even blackjack that do not count in meeting the required wagering provisions.
Casino bonuses can really attract players into getting started on online betting. They seem to want to avail of the extra amount being offered that would provide them with more betting money. It has made many people turn into regular online players and has done well for the online casinos. But there are also some people who have taken advantage of this offer in order to cash in on casino bonuses. These players, otherwise known as ìbonus huntersî, take full advantage of the offered casino bonuses by opting to cash in on their winnings after all the betting provisions are met. Whether players may like it or not, these actions are strictly prohibited by the online casinos because it has been part of their conditions that players may only play for recreational purposes only. Online casinos are always on the lookout for bonus hunters. When caught, their promotional privileges are usually revoked.
If you do not want to be labeled as a bonus hunter and have your online privileges revoked, there are certain things that you should avoid. First of all, you should refrain from maintaining multiple accounts when playing in an online casino. Also try not to cash out on your winning before fulfilling the casinoís wagering requirement. You should also try to gamble normally. A sudden increase in the amount that you bet may make the casino throw a red flag at you. And last but not the least, make sure that you have the proper credit information given and avoid having irregularities on your credit card. Wrongful information may compel casinos to bar you from playing on their site and deny you the privilege of availing casino bonuses.

Advising against using 888 and Harrah's

I have tried out all NJ online casino's which are legal for me to gamble at. For the most part I have had a great experience as most of these casino's have a pretty good bonus system with minimal play-thru requirements. Support is a bit delayed on most sites which is understandable since they are a bit busy with everything going on. However, Harrah's and 888 Casino (these are both the same) are just awful.
Thankfully I have been unable to deposit any money with either casino so it is not like I am trying to get money back. I created an account on both sites and it never let me fund the account. Instead the account was suspended after I attempted to make a deposit - pending me validating my identity. No problem, but I could not logon to upload the documents so I had to open a ticket which after a few days I received an upload path to send my files to. These were my Driver's License back and front, and me holding the Driver's license.
It took me following up a week later to find out that this was validated but now I have to provide a bank statement with my name on it. I completed this and was e-mailed back a few days later asking me to provide a copy of my credit card front and back that I attempted to use for my deposit. I provided that three weeks ago and all of my attempts of following up have been ignored.
Online Help was not too helpful as they inform me I have to contact the risk management team via e-mail. Additionally, their Chat is only available from 6:00pm to 11pm Eastern.
I just wanted to make everyone aware since this is so Bizarre to me. I am trying to spend and likely lose money but there are such delays it is making it impossible. I am sure most people do not encounter this so I am not sure why this is so challenging for my account.

Casino Etiquette Questions

Hey gang, hope all is well. Some context: I've been playing for a little over a year now online, started at 2nl and currently winning at 50nl. Not a crusher by any means, but super happy with my progress and excited to play more in the future as a recreational player. So here's the deal, I've been playing online and just with some of my buddies at school every now and then more casually but I turn 21 on Monday and I'm looking to play at a casino for the first time.
For reference: I live in New Orleans, LA and would be going to Harrahs. I think the max buy-in there for 1/3 is 300, which is perfectly fine. I have a few questions about what to expect though, because I don't want to show up and look like an absolute noob (which I will be, but don't want it to be that obvious).
Thanks for dealing with my noobie questions in advance. Really hope I can make an OMC rage on my first go.

GSR Drug Testing for Marijuana?

Just got a job at GSR and need to take a drug test for it. Asked both the testing facility and GSR HR if they tested for pot and all I got was “I can’t say but we comply with all state laws”.
I’ve looked up the topic online and on reddit and found a post from a year ago with a lot of people saying other casinos (Eldorado, Silver Legacy, Harrahs, Circus Circus) stopped drug testing sometime last year for marijuana.
Anyone know where the GSR stands on this? I don’t wanna shell out money for fake pee if I don’t have to. I’m thinking I’m all good since it’s legal to smoke and literally will be illegal for them to deny employment come the first of the year + the NRS 633.333 argument, but I also really need this job.

Unibet getting a Midwestern foothold

https://www.gambling.com/news/unibet-entering-indiana-and-iowa-sports-betting-markets-2207600
Unibet is coming to Indiana and Iowa. And in effect, it’s coming to the state wedged between them: Illinois.
Kindred Group on Tuesday announced a 10-year agreement with Caesars Entertainment to gain market access into Indiana and Iowa – and “potentially other states,” according to a news release – to operate both online sports betting and gaming through its Unibet brand.
Kindred, through Unibet, can immediately begin seeking licenses in both states, which would double its footprint in the United States. Unibet currently operates in New Jersey and Pennsylvania sportsbooks. Its online Pennsylvania sportsbook is operated in partnership with Mohegan Sun.
Unibet’s New Jersey sportsbook is through a deal with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
In Indiana, Unibet will ally with a Caesar’s Horsehoe Hammond property less than 30 miles from Chicago, giving it a key outpost to tap into an Illinois market left fallow because of regulatory delays.
Most important, the deal will bring mobile and online betting options to a property battling to compete financially without it.

Unibet Can Tap Into Chicago Market

Sports betting was legalized in Illinois in June, but a launch date remains nebulous and seemingly far-off. So Illinois bettors continue to pour over the Indiana border from the city of 2.7 million to patronize the likes of Horseshoe Hammond and DraftKings-affiliated Ameristar East Chicago.
Ameristar’s January sports betting handle of $73,037,356 led all 13 Indiana providers – $170,813,254 was collected in the state – with $65,993,539 coming from that sportsbook via mobile. Caesars never launched a mobile product for Horseshoe Hammond, negating its proximity as the nearest Indiana sportsbook to the Chicago metropolitan area.
Unibet’s Iowa peg will be at Harrah’s Council Bluffs, which is just across the Missouri River from Omaha, Nebraska, and nestled in the metropolitan statistical area of nearly a million. Mobile betting accounted for about 59% of Iowa sports betting handle in January. Ten of 19 Iowa sportsbooks offer mobile or online sports betting.
Kindred US senior vice president Manuel Stan said he was “thrilled” to expand the company’s American presence with Caesars.

Affiliate Summit West 2020 Roundup

Affiliate Summit West 2020 Roundup

The 50th Affiliate Summit!

The Paris Hotel turned over once again to become the North American affiliate HQ. Over 6000 attendees from all major affiliate networks, SaaS providers, OPMs and leading online advertisers headed for Affiliate Summit 2020. In fact you can’t walk a corridor, go for a coffee or ride the elevator without starting another conversation. And, it could be an old friend or even a newbie – it’s the ideal conference vibe.
Amazingly there have been 50 Affiliate Summit events over the last 17 years – and as each comes around they get bigger and better. This year’s ASW20 was larger in floor area with some excellent sessions tackling some of the thornier issues in affiliate (or partner) marketing. In celebration, many of Shawn and Missy’s friends surprised them with a party at Toby Keith’s ‘I Love This Bar & Grill’. A great end to another great week.
The team from Publisher Discovery was exhibiting and showing our latest platform for identifying, filtering and recruiting new affiliates. Our booth was so popular at times there were people queueing to talk to us – its great that we hit the right note with attendees.

https://preview.redd.it/5ipztnykmnf41.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6fe6d2ffd177439d3bf9438e5499efcb748652df
Next year’s ASW conference moves to a brand new venue in Caesar’s Forum, Las Vegas, from February 2-4. This is brand new and right on the Strip – with no smoky casino to walk through. The event hotel will be moving to Harrah’s, a more up to date venue – so, save the date – and see you there!

AM Days

AM Days has become an integral part of the Affiliate Summit offering as an add-on for serious affiliate managers. This year was three times larger than ever before – and in fact was more than sold out. They made sure that they made space for everyone who wanted the gen on this unique content..
Geno Prussakov led with the keynote session on
Key session from Wade Tonkin of Fanatics, on Targeting Content Partners, which featured some of the main tools used; and which included a short presentation of Publisher Discovery is used to view your the main advertisers in your market.
From conversation we had with attendees this is a truly invaluable part of the Summit for any affiliate manager. We’d highly recommend signing up early for the next at ASE20 in New York.

Main ASW20 sessions

Of course for a lot of attendees its the conference sessions that are the big draw. Each session led by a key industry figure – or a panel of leading figures. Some of the key sessions that caught our attention, reflecting the focus for a lot of affiliate managers in recruiting affiliates to keep ahead of their competitors. These included:
  • ‘9 Software Tools Affiliate Managers Need to Grow the Program’ – Dustin Howes of j2 Global
  • ‘Tapping the Power of Content Commerce Partnerships and Third-Party Reviews’ by Jessica Seib of Buzzfeed
  • ‘Why Affiliate Should Be Every Advertiser’s Largest Paid Marketing Channel’ by ESPN/Disney’s Aaron Weigum
  • ’15 Affiliate Recruitment Techniques That Work’, Geno Prussakov
The Keynote session was especially busy tackling a current topic of discussion in all markets: ‘Partner vs Affiliate – Is it One or the Other‘. This was a panel with key figures from leading players – including Awin, Partnercentric, Rakuten and Acceleration. Its surely a conversation that is set to run and run.

Our Next Shows

The next show we’ll be attending is PerformanceIn PI Advanced, New York in May. An innovative one-day format focusing on how e-commerce brands can optimize planning, execution and ROI in performance marketing. It is retail focused and will bring together the leading networks. SaaS and technology providers in one place.
In August we’ll return to the US for Affiliate Summit East in July – for the east coast version of the show. You can see more and where to meet us on our Events page. We look forward to meeting you at the next show.

Could I actually be good at poker???

I have no illusions of ever going pro, just want to explore live poker more in a responsible way. Ive played casual home games for a few years and won way more than anyone else in the friend group. Started playing in the casino about 6 weeks ago (1 3 NL). Only 6 sessions played so far, but Ive won every time. My strategy has been to come to the casino with 2 buyins ($600) and play til I lose it or feel like the time is right. I've busted my 1st buy-in 2 of 6 times, but earned it back plus profit in both of those sessions. Also, I feel like I came in with the wrong attitude both of those times i had to dip into the full $600. I also went down to Harrahs Cherokee and played a $100 buy-in tournament last week. Ended up finishing 15th out of 396 for a nice $486 payout. I was happily surprised with the result being my first tournament.
Obviously this is a super tiny sample size. That said, Im 7 for 7 getting paid, up over $1200 and couldnt have anticipated a better result.
Im planning on keeping this general strategy and trying to do approx 10 hours a week at my local casino.
Am I going about this the right way? Anything I could do to assess whether or not Im a winner more efficiently?
(I think I would likely be worse at online poker and am not really trying to enter that realm)
Any feedback is appreciated!

The data on casino trends is going towards online casinos

The web's capability to blur limits and society's approval of gambling establishment gambling and sports wagering eventually clarified the disparities and loopholes of American gambling laws. From the makeshift sports book stalls in Nevada, the majority of sports wagering activities moved operations and made use of the possibilities of the online world in the mid-1990s. At present, there are numerous online video gaming websites accommodating sports wagering and gambling establishment gambling based in nations like Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Ireland.

In spite of overseas-based operations, the lion's share of the earnings and customers of these websites originate from American states. In fact, current research studies reveal that these online gambling establishment gambling and sports wagering websites make more than legal gambling establishments running in Nevada. The earnings of online gambling and wagering websites are approximated at $70 billion for 2005 alone. This is a shocking quantity compared to the reported $2 billion from Nevada gambling establishments. This suffices to topple the three-decade reign of Nevada gambling establishments from the 60's to the early 90's. Thinking about that sports book and gambling establishment websites have actually been running for less than 20 years, they are plainly a risk to the prospering Nevada gambling scene.

For years, Las Vegas is the only location legal for gambling operations. Atlantic City did the same and made gambling establishment gambling legal; the following years saw the expansion of state lottery games, card clubs, video gaming ships, Indian gambling establishments, and off-track wagering hair salons throughout the country. However still, these advancements are insufficient to take on online gambling. The market of online gambling is not even swayed by strong opposition from legal United States gambling establishments. The gambling laws of the United States of America do not assist, too. They differ commonly from the various states. Many states prohibit all kinds of gambling while some make exceptions. Disparities like these make it simple for online operators to discover and utilize loopholes in the law. The American Video gaming Association keeps a protective stand concerning online gambling. The association promotes federal laws on the policy of online gambling. According to them, the uncontrolled nature of the online gambling market is its benefit over conventional gambling establishments; managing it puts both camps on even footing.

However in spite of this stand, some Nevada gambling establishments are following the old stand-by: if you can not beat them, join them. November 1998 saw the start of a brand-new pattern; conventional gambling establishments began obtaining off-shore online gambling establishment gambling business to enhance their earnings. An affiliate of the Hilton Hotels soaked up the Australian sports book slot deposit pulsa. Other Nevada gambling establishments followed and this cycle once again generated a brand-new barrage of disputes.

Contrary to their earlier dislike of the online gambling market, the conventional gambling establishments set their sights greater. They are now pressing the Congress to pass a law that legislates online gambling. This is performed in an effort to lower production expenses; legalization implies that they might now move their operations in the United States. Harrah's and MGM Mirage, the two leading gambling establishments in Nevada and unquestionably owning their own online gambling websites, lead the gambling establishments in asking for the guideline of online video gaming. Plainly, this relocation asking for guideline does not plan to put conventional gambling establishments at par with online websites any longer. The competitors moved in between independent online websites and Nevada casino-owned websites. A transfer to control translates to double revenues for the Nevada gambling establishments.

Whatever comes out of this brand-new advancement in gambling establishment gambling, players are still guaranteed of their gambling repair. Potentially, if the suggested guideline is authorized, there would be more security in wagering online because it is now under United States laws. Like previously, gambling establishment gambling shows itself to be a vibrant and ever-changing market.

800 hours at 1/2 live NLHE

I like it when other people post their graphs and stats on here so I figured I'd throw mine in as well since its a pretty decent sample size although my stats aren't too impressive.
These are all casino 1/2-1/3 NLHE games.
1.)stats
2.)graph by session
3.)most $ made by rooms
4.)least $ made by rooms
5.)earnings by weekday
https://imgur.com/a/zcZTR
Things to note:
-I've tipped almost $1600, mostly $1 at a time. I average about $2/hr in tipping. I use to tip every hand, but when I started keeping track of this stat, I've cut back on my tipping a bit.
-I use to live in Buffalo NY and played a bit at Seneca Niagara Casino. 222 hours are from there. The rest is mostly in Las Vegas where I currently reside and a few random casinos throughout USA that I stopped at.
-I don't ever game select. In fact, I do grind a few bit of promotions (thats why I have so many hours at South Point, they had a 180k freeroll for doing 100 hours). This means that even if a game is terrible, I will continue playing it. Most of these hours are from random poker room promotion periods and those games are pretty bad with a lot of nits and promo grinders. Harrah's is my worst location as I grinded their morning games to try to win a WSOP ME seat. (I got 3rd in the tourney to qualify and only 1st got the seat)
-I play poker for a living primarily online. I grind live 1/2 and 1/3 games mostly for fun or out of boredom or if I feel like carpooling to the strip with my roommates to donk around for a bit.

“Mini” BlackJack Diary - WARNING, VERY LENGTHY NOVEL
Hello guys, me and my family took a round trip tour throughout the United States - with California being our destination.
I live in Ohio and we dropped by Vegas for only 2 days. Just a little story about my profit and losses and where I played.
The hotel we stayed at was Harrah’s (AMAZING place for a little vacay stay btw but AWFUL for blackjack because of the crud rules.)
I had learned BJ with friends a few years prior to this trip because of poker, but never played seriously or practiced before this.
I had only studied a couple of days before this trip because I have a horrible habit of doing things last minute.
I am a Computer science major and study astrophysics for fun, so naturally I am able to crunch numbers without much effort.
My studies were all done within a 4 DAY SPAN. My actual play was done on days 3 AND 4.
I start out with a $200 bankroll for cushion, and only play with $20 buy-ins at a time to pull away when I need to.
DAY 1 —
2 Days prior to hitting Vegas, I knew virtually NOTHING about Blackjack and had taken it upon myself to learn basic strategy.
I had already KNEW how to count with the Hi-Lo system because - as I mentioned - I counted while playing poker FOR FUN at the same time as reading hands. Which I know, counting in poker is useless, but might as well kill two birds with one stone.
I learned basic strategy within this first day using android BJ practice apps, and solidified my memory with lots of water and good sleep.
This was 7+ hours of practice, as I was stuck in the car for the drive there.
DAY 2 —
I decided to squeeze as much info out of this as I could, so I learned the Wong Halves system on this day.
I also searched online hardcore for the best places to play with the BEST rules. Unfortunately, this was useless because we ended up staying at HARRAH’s (known for its shit rules).
For the Wong Halves, this was another 7+ HOURS of brutal brain numbing practice with 10 minute breaks in between each hour.
This system was very difficult to learn due to the halves system, but provides a bit of a more an accurate count. It was tough building the neurons for this new method, as I was already used to the Hi-Lo system.
But nonetheless, I was able to blitz an entire deck in just under 30 seconds.
DAY 3 —
So this was it.
We finally arrived around 4pm and checked in with our luggage and took everything upstairs.
As my parents were checking-in, I scanned the entire bottom casino perimeter to get a good look at my prey and what tables to go for. You could almost get lost looking for the restroom, I’d say - I’m sure they designed the place to have a devils grip on your mind.
The first tables in the party pit were intimidating with $15 - $25 minimums! - I was anticipating $5min, as being a broke college student, I know that variance can devour my entire bankroll.
As I was watching, I could BARELY keep count of the cards flying out from the dealers hand.
Already I was sweating. But knowing the cards were being hand-shuffled here, I was a bit relieved.
I decided to turn away and head to the empty back portion of the LINQ hotel, (basically connected to Harrahs), in hopes of finding a table with $5 min.
Luckily I did! But with an ASM and cruddy rules?? :(
I was screwed at that point, with no real hopes of winning. I decided to go for it and use basic strategy and practice counting while I was there.
I failed MISERABLY, and could BARELY keep track of half the cards that were coming out. My first $20 basically flew out of my hands.
With the night closing in for us, nearing almost 6pm, my family decided that it was time to leave and head out to eat.
DAY 3 — 6:30pm, MAIN ST. Garden Court Buffet
SORELY deceived and mislead, I had already dropped my hopes of having any edge against the house. “How could I be defeated so easily? I get that it was only $20 to start out, but have the rules around here really run to shit?”
After dinner, while my family is finishing eating, I decide to depressingly look around for tables.....
There it is....the fucking holy grail of BlackJack tables. BJ pays 3:2, and dealer hits on S17, with only 2 decks.
I almost cry with joy.
As any good player, I decide to sit back and watch the other players first and how they play.
2 older guys sitting next to each other, one stacking, one not.
The one stacking is generating heat, as passerby’s seem to notice the chips building high. The pit boss notices as well and eyes him the entire time he’s there. I had a feeling he was counting as he was spreading his bets on 4+ count, and I think he was also using a progression system. Who knows. The guy leaves.
I jump in, and am the only one at the table.
I whip out $20, unfamiliar with the game, the dealer is adjusting my mistakes every 20 seconds as I unnecessarily flip the cards over when I’m not supposed to and touch them when I’m not supposed to.
This immediately turns me off from counting.
So I turn to basic strategy and win the first few hands. I struggle through the variance and run this all the way up to $120 within the first 20 minutes!!
My family finishes dinner and comes to get me.
If it weren’t for those meddling kids, I’m sure I’d be up more! - Only kidding. I would have tilted and lost it all like the first time at LINQS, had it not been for their intervention :)
I was happy the entire night, with my bank roll starting out with $200, losing a $20 buy-in at first and then returning that with $120, I was invincible!!! Only $80 profit in total :(
I did not know how to cut my losses.
I wanted more.
11PM, THE VENETIAN - NEW BLACKJACK $5min COLOSSEUM FORMAT
That same night I decided to explore The Venetian. They had a new colosseum style blackjack game with the same crap rules.
I sit down with my $20 buy-in and go to town. It’s quite a long grind, as I ran it up to $60 in 20 minutes.
The free drinks start coming in. And a new guy sits next to me. He is also a Computer science major.
We talk for awhile, have a couple drinks and smokes (I normally don’t smoke cigs, only mary) and we both run up to $140 after about an hour and a half of playing total.
Lady Luck was on my side that night.
I am up a total of $260 in one day. Not bad for $20 buy-in. I decide to call it a night.
DAY 4 — LAST DAY AT HARRAH’S
It was night time at Harrah’s and we had arrived after walking down the Vegas strip and visiting the different casinos.
Mind you this was on July 4th so before arriving to the party pit tables my family was anticipating fireworks to be displayed on the strip that night (it was actually displayed 2 days before July 4th?? Bleh, whatever.)
So me and my mother decide to sit down at the $10 minimum tables - and thank god Harrahs even had a few 10$ min - after she had lost roughly $60 at the 3 card poker table.
I pull out $20 for a buy-in (I know, I know, awful idea but I do it anyways.
I get so freaking lucky and win the first couple of hands, I run it all the way to $220 in 40 minutes! All the while helping my mother gain back her profit as well.
I begin to lose 4 consecutive hands and decided to cut my losses at $170!!
I cash out with a total profit $430 added to my bankroll ($610 total!) and for the rest of the trip, I am a happy, happy boy. 22 and broke never felt so good.
I am actually quite afraid to play again, as there are no good tables in Columbus, Ohio. But am eager to study more.
If you guys have any tips or advice, please let me know.
That’s my story, thank you guys for reading.
As always, happy hunting!
